SRINAGAR, Nov 16: The closing ceremony of the 3rd Kashmir Gold Cup Taekwondo was held today in which the players from J&K and other States participated with the Aglow Institute Chadoora Budgam lifting the title.
The event was organized by National Sports Club in collaboration with J&K Sports Council at Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Stadium Srinagar.
On the occasion, chief guest Raja Ghulam Nabi Wani, Organizing Secretary Kashmir Gold Cup 2022 handed over the Trophy to the winning team Aglow Institute Chadoora Budgam while Punjab was declared runner up and Linton Hall School Raj Bagh grabbed 3rd position.
He also distributed Gold, Silver and Bronze medals among different players for their outstanding performances across various events in presence of Shabir Ahmad, Secretary All India Youth hostel, Maqsood Ahmad Khan Manager, Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Stadium Srinagar along with Zahoor Ahmad Dar and Mohammad Amin.
Also present on the occasion was International Taekwondo Coach Peer Mohammad from Nepal as Observer.
The chief guest thanked and congratulated all the members of the National Sports Club and Director General Doordarshan Kendra New Delhi for live telecasting of the events. He also thanked the participating players along with all the officials, organizers of the events and J&K Bank and other sponsors for their support.
All players who participated in the events expressed joy and satisfaction over the arrangements. On the occasion, Raja Ghulam Nabi Wani assured that many more events will be organized at the National and International levels in future.
