JAMMU, Apr 9: J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, today awarded the winners of the “On the spot Music and Painting Competition” in a function held at seminar hall of Kala Kendra.
On the occasion, Khalid Bashir, Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages was the chief guest.
Savita Bakshi while welcoming the gathering said the award ceremony is being organized very first time exclusively for the children activities so that they could feel proud and to be more encouraged for their future venture in their respective field of arts.
Later, Khalid Bashir flanked by other dignitaries, presented award with the prize amount to the awardee children.
While speaking, Khalid Bashir congratulated the children and also praised their parents and teachers.
He further said that these arts not only teach aesthetic sense but also prepare the children to design their life in a very creative way.
Dr Sudhir Mahajan, incharge, SOCA G1 was the overall incharge of the programme and also conducted the proceedings.
Earlier, the awardee children gave sizzling performance, which was highly applauded by the audience with thundering applauses.
The children who enthralled the audience with their melodious voice were Muskan, Samyak, Sanchita, Sushant Sathu, Tanishka Ticko, Ojesvi Gupta, Harshit Sharma, Mithleesh Banchoo, Vishwa Kaswalia.
The accompanists were Sunil Sharma, Rajesh, Rajiv Salotra and Bishan Dass.
