Earlier, Avish Sharma defeated Nikhil Kapahi 3-2, Suhail Khalid drubbed Arjun Singh 3-1, Vicky Wazir drubbed Suhail Khalid 3-2, Rohit Chowdhary defeated Vidit Gauri 3-2, Nitin Sharma outplayed Ananya Mahajan 3-0 and Abhishek Pathania got the better of Vishal Abrol 3-1.
