JAMMU, Nov 16: Promising opening batsman Aarav Mahajan slammed a cracking century (132) to help Tawi Cricket Academy (TCA) thrash Udhampur Cricket Academy (UCA) by a huge margin of 89 runs in the ongoing Under-19 Boys Friendship Cup, being organised at Country Cricket Academy, Gharota, here today.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, TCA sailed on Aarav’s brilliance and scored a good total of 204 runs in 34 overs, losing all their wickets in the process. Aarav Mahajan sent the rival bowlers on a leather-hunt and played with solidity and grace. He top scored with 134 runs, while Kartik and Ranbir contributed 13 and 12 runs respectively. For UCA, Taksh, Aksrshit and Royal shared 1 wicket apiece.
In reply, UCA bundled out for 115 runs in 28 overs. Royal, Shivam and Bhavishya contributed 19, 14 and 12 runs respectively. Kartik was the pick of the bowlers, who took 5 important wickets, while Aarav and Ranbir claimed 2 wickets each. Aarav Mahajan was declared as Man of the Match for his brilliant century.
