JAMMU, Feb 22: Vishaw Hindu Parishad (VHP) has criticized the State Government for not allowing entry of Dr Parveen Bhai Togadia in the State yesterday and sending him back to Delhi. The organization has taken the serious exception to Government’s decision in this regard.
‘We had already informed the administration regarding visit of the VHP leader who has to participate in two religious functions and we were not intimated about the Government’s decision of not granting permission to him to visit Jammu”, VHP State president, Dr Rama Kant Dubey told reporters here today.
He said the Omar Abdullah Government refused permission to Dr Togadia to please the separatists and termed the decision against the Fundamental Rights of an individual. There was no threat to peace by his visit to Jammu and participation in religious functions, he added.
Dr Dubey accused the Chief Minister of double standards and being soft to separatists in Valley while taking a harsh stand to suppress the voice of nationalist people. He said that VHP will take up the issue with President of India and Governor of the State as this way the Government was trying to suppress the voice of Hindus in the State.
