RAJOURI, Feb 3: Himalayan Education Mission School Rajouri, one of the premier educational institutes of the J&K celebrated its 33rd Annual Day with pomp and show, here today.
The programme was chaired by Shabir Ahmed Khan, Minister of State for Health with Independent Charge, while Mubashir Latifi, Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri presided over the event.
The students of high and higher classes presented spectacular stage performances including skit, song and thought provoking messages, which invited huge applause from the jubilant audience.
Umpteen awards in both academic and extra scholastic areas were presented to the students, who have exhibited outstanding performances during the last academic session at District, State and National level competitions.
The highest ranked award included Himalayan lad and lass of the year in male and female categories which were bagged by Sharan, Sushant and Alia Iqbal respectively. Many other students’ bagged medals, citations and mementoes.
In his presidential address, Minister lauded the pioneering role of the Himalayan education mission in this backward, border hilly regions and declared it as a true leader in education sector whose contribution will be in golden ink in the annual of history.
The annual report was presented by MM Wani, while Zeba Fatima, Nadia Sheikh, Tuiba Bhat and Nasreen Choudhary conducted the proceeding of the programme.
Later-on, patron Farooq Muztar presented vote of thanks.
