Tiwari flags off Football teams for Bengaluru visit

BARAMULLA, July 24: Under the aegis of Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2017-18, Vinay Kumar Tiwari, Commandant 53 Bn CRPF flagged off Football teams in presence of officers from CRPF and JKP from District Police Lines (DPL) Baramulla to visit Bengaluru.
From Baramulla the teams departed to Srinagar airport from where they will move further by Air to the final destination.
These winners and runners-up teams of Under-19 Football Kashir Tournament will visit Bengaluru on a five days tour programme.
Each team includes 16 players and 2 officials. During this tour, they will play football matches with local clubs and will visit important places in the City  and interact with local people and exchange culture. They players will also meet important dignitaries of the State.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Tiwari said that this is a positive step to motivate local youth to join mainstream and deviate them from the subversive thoughts/action like stone pelting etc.
The programme is a step forward to remove alienation between Security Forces and locals and boost strong bonding between them.
