Over 200 players participating in JKAUMA winter camp at Pahalgam

Srinagar, Feb 16:
Braving sub-zero temperature, over 200 players of different age group are participating in a three-day winter camp organized by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Unified Martial Arts (JKAUMA) at world famous tourist resort of Pahalgam.
The  participants from different parts of the valley in the winter camp was flagged off by SSP Traffic, Srinagar Tahir from Gindun Stadium at 0930 hrs.
“I am really happy to see that our kids are actively participating in such Martial art events. Sports has a huge potential and such camps will help in giving a platform to the students to showcase their talent,” Mr Tahir said.
He also congratulated the JKAUMA for organizing this winter camp and assured all possible help. The winter camp is organized in the run-up to prepare the players for various district, state, national and international events in 2018.
The organizers of the camp said that various Martial Art forms, including KiAiDo, Taekwondo,  Kick boxing, Grappling, and  besides six other styles will be taught during the camp, first in the State. (UNI)
