JAMMU, Dec 12: Talented south-paw, Vivrant Sharma slammed a magnificent century (158 runs), while promising Sahil Lotra scored back to back fifties against Vidharbha in the ongoing Cooch Behar Under-19 Cricket Trophy at Vidharbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur.
Vivrant was in awe-inspiring touch, hitting the ball with fluidity and grace to send the rival bowlers on a leather hunt. His innings was an amalgam of solid defence and explosiveness.
Earlier, J&K scored 257 runs in the first innings with Sahil Lotra (52) and Vivrant (41) being the main scorers.
In reply, Vidharbha scored a big total of 574 runs in the first innings, with AM Kumar (143), YV Lathod (121) and Awesh Kaith (120) scoring centuries. Sahil Lotra and Umer Majid took 3 wickets each for J&K.
In their second essay, while trailing by 317 runs, J&K rode on a magnificent century by Vivrant, coupled with brilliant 66 and 42 runs by Sahil Lotra and skipper Qamran Iqbal managed to score 326 runs.
Vidharbha needed 10 runs to win, which they scored without losing a wicket.
