JAMMU, Oct 24: GGM Science College and Govt MAM College were among the other four teams to enter round-III of the ongoing Inter-Collegiate Volleyball Tournament, organized by the Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu at the University Campus, here today.
Earlier, in the first match played today, IMS Patoli team beat GDC Doda by 2-1 sets, while in another match, GGM Science College defeated IG Dental College Jammu by 2-0 sets.
Baskar Degree College, Udhampur got the better of YCET Jammu by 2-1 sets, while GDC Samba outplayed GDC Poonch by 2-0 sets.
Govt MAM College defeated GDC Nowshera by 2-0 sets, while GDC Rajouri drubbed ASCOMS by 2-0 sets and PG Department JU trounced GDC Reasi by 2-0 sets.
Prof. Avtar Singh Jasrotia, Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu was present to encourage the participating players and teams.
Sajjad Ali, Prof. Fateh Mohd Abbasi, Mohd.Sayaf, Khusbhu Singh, Vijay Kumari,Tanvir Ahmed, Amit Jamwal, Dr.Ritesh Gupta, RakeshKumar, Balbir Singh Chib, Sumnesh Sharma, Anil Kumar, Jai Bharat, Ravish Vaid and Vikas Karlopia were also present on the occasion.
The matches were officiated by Naresh Kumar, Amit Sharma, Mulkh Raj and Manik Nargotra.
