UDHAMPUR, Oct 13: Three days Inter-School Handball Championship organized by KC Gurukul Public School in collaboration with District Sports Council concluded today.
In these three days of the tournament, around 150 students of 13 teams of different schools participated. The matches of the tournament were played in the sports ground of KC Gurukul Public School for two days in which, in boys section, the final match was won by BBSV Peeth. The final for the girls was played today between KC Gurukul Public School and APS Udhampur and the match was won by APS Udhampur by 6-2.
Abdul Ghani Kohli, Minister for Fisheries, Animal Sheep Husbandry J&K was the chief guest, who awarded the winner and runner-up teams in presence of Executive Director of KC Gurukul Public School and Rahil Gupta, Vice Chairman of District Sports Council Udhampur.
The Minister in his speech said that sports sets the right tempo among students and also make them physically fit and mentally strong.
DC Udhampur, Ravinder Kumar, who is also the Chairman of Sports Council Udhampur was the guest of honour and SSP Udhampur, Rayeess M Bhat was the special guest on the occasion. The event was supported by Shray Mahajan and staff of KCGPS.
Among others present were Shaktish Chopra, Incharge Manager Subash Stadium Udhampur, Ravi Kumar, Sports Council Trainer, Karun Magotra, DYSSO, Ajit Singh, DYSSO, Ajay Sharma, DYSSO and Vipin Photra, Sports Council Trainer.
