JAMMU, July 24: Dr. Ram Thakur, Academic Director of KC Public School, was awarded Certificate of Meritorious Service for his 38 years long active association with IAYP also known as the Duke of Edinburgh International Award Programme, in a function held at India International Centre, New Delhi recently.
The annual function was organized by IAYP Award Authority of India to give away Gold awards to about 50 young people from all over India and also to honour Adult Award Leaders for their exemplary contribution to the cause of the award.
The Chief Guest at the function was Dr. Vivek Raghavan, Chief Technology Officer, Team Indus, Bangalore and Chief Product Manager and Biometric Architect involved in the design and implementation of technology platform for Aadhaar, the world’s largest identity programme.
Also present at the function were senior officials of the award, namely, Sue Walker, Asia Pacific Regional Director, Himmat Kalsia, Chairman, Kapil Bhalla, National Director and Dr. Sanat Kaul, Managing Trustee.
