SAMBA, Dec 28: 38 Bn CRPF organized a Volleyball Tournament at Sports Stadium, Smailpur, here for the youths of this area under Civic Action Programme.
This Tournament will conclude tomorrow.
A total of eight teams are participating in the Tournament and the teams include Govt. Hr. Secondary School, Smailpur, Barjani Club, Khatana Club, Bari Brahmna Club, Purmandal Club, Gurgi Club, Smailpur Club & Skiender Club.
Prof Ashok Aima, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Jammu declared the Tournament open in an impressive function.
The opening match was played between Bari Brahmna Club and Khatana Club. Ram Kumar, Commandant 38 Bn, Officers of 38 Bn and various dignitaries were present during the opening ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Commandant 38 Bn said that, the aim of such tournament is to promote sportsman spirit, sense of brotherhood and better police-public relation.
