JAMMU, Nov 22: After two weeks coaching camp and screening by the J&K State Sports Council, 29 members including 14 boys, 12 girls alongwith 2 coaches and one manager left for National Cadet and Junior Judo Championship to be held at Saifi, Itwah in Uttar Pradesh from November 24 to November 28, 2016. The Team: Shuham Sharma, Mridul Kerni, Vishabjeet Singh Ritish Thakur, Hamid Magray, Sajan Sharma, Paramveer Singh, Virbhadra Singh, Haris Amin Bhat Karandeep Singh, Abhishek Choudharuy, Farat Gulzar, Dheeraj Singh, Sourav Kumar, Komal Magotra, Vanshika Manhas, Bhumika Mahajan, Vaishali Choudhary, Nandni Sharma, Suhasi Kiran, Shriya Gupta, Khyaati Gupta, Yashika Jamwal, Sakshi Bhan, Sanjana Manhas and Mahvish Latif.
Suraj Bhan Singh and Ritika Slathia are accompanying the team as a coaches and Manish Chatwal as a manager.
Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Wahid-Ur-Rehman Para distributed track suits to the team and assured J&K Judo Association that he will provide six sets of new Judo mattresses for both provinces—Jammu & Kashmir.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Shiv Kumar Sharma, Joint Secretary J&K Sports Council, Kuldeep Singh Jamwal, General Secretary J&K Judo Association, Abdul Qayoom, Chief Sports Officer, Rajan Sharma, Divisional Sports Officer, Ravi Singh, Manager MA Stadium, Satish Gupta, Manager Indoor Complex, SP Singh, Manager Hakoo Stadium, Balvinder Singh, Manager RS Pura, Varinder Dogra and Suraj Sharma.
