JAMMU, Nov 1: Army has a tradition of encouraging the spirit of adventure and has often been a pioneering role model in promoting adventure activities in the country.
In keeping with the tradition, Army flagged off a Trekking Expedition from Sarna (Bhadarwah) to Kishtwar, today.
The Army team comprising of one officer and ten young soldiers will cover the trek of 200 KM in 14 days encompassing the most treacherous and arduous mountainous areas using modern mountaineering equipments.
The trekking expedition is to learn the customs, flora and fauna and the scope of development in the area. Besides, the expedition will help to build mental resilience, physical courage of the participants and promote camaraderie and team spirit amongst them.
