JAMMU, Oct 7: Cueists continued to showcase their commendable skills on Day-2 of the ongoing 1st J&K State Six Red Ball Championship, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association (JKBSA), at billiards hall, MA Stadium, here today.
In the first league match of the day, Sohail Khalid crushed Aakash Mahajan by 3-1. Sohail won the first frame 41-03 and the game was equalized by Aakash by winning the second frame by 56-10. Sohail made a comeback by winning the third frame by 48-13 and also registered win in the decider frame by 34-06.
Nikhil Kapahi outplayed Rahil Atri by straight 3-0 frames with the score of 46-06, 42-02 and 38-12 in the second league match, whereas in the third league match, Gagandeep Singh smashed Aryaman Mahajan by 3-1. Gagandeep registered win in the first frame by 45-16 and the game was equalized by Aryaman by winning the second frame 35-14. Gagandeep won the third and fourth frame by 36-13 and 41-00 to enter into the next stage.
In the fourth match played between Nikhil Verma and Sam Mahajan, the former registered win by 3-1. Nikhil registered win over Sam by 41-13 in the first frame and also won the second frame by 49-38. In the third frame, Sam registered win by 48-26, but lost the fourth frame by 29-11.
Stanzin beat Momin Mehraj by 3-2 in the fifth league match. Stazin won the first frame by 40-01 and Momin equalized the game by winning the second frame by 31-18. Momin won the third frame by 38-22, but lost the fourth frame by 43-31. In the decider frame, Stazin registered win by 52-17.
In the sixth match, Nitesh Sharma outplayed Harkeerat Bedi by straight 3-0 frames with the score of 60-13, 33-22 and 50-37, whereas in the seventh match, Furkan Wani defeated Saaid Bashir by 3-0 and the score was 44-07, 66-45 and 33-00.
In the eighth league match, Abhi Gupta crushed Aman Sharma by 3-2. Aman registered win over Abhi by 36-22 in the first frame and the game was equalized by Abhi by winning the second frame by 46-09. Abhi won the third frame by 33-18 and raised the lead, but Aman bounced back and equalized the game by winning the fourth frame by 31-08. In the decider frame, Abhi registered win by 35-27.
Rizwan registered win over Rohit Choptre by 3-0 frames with the score of 48-18, 36-13 and 45-10 in the ninth match, whereas in the tenth league match, Sahil Arora, beat Mandeep Singh by 3-1 to enter in next round.
In the eleventh league match, Ishan Chowdhary outclassed Krishan by 3-0 with the score of 39-22, 44-04 and 42-18, whereas in the twelfth match, Nitin Sharma outplayed Sanidhay Mahajan by straight 3-0 frames and the score was 42-28, 47-10 and 60-45.
The matches were being held under strict supervision of the JKBSA members and played with the rules and regulations of Billiards and Snooker Federation of India (BSFI).
Rakesh Sharma acted as marker of the tournament.
