JAMMU, Dec 24: Kids Planet Public School celebrated its Annual Day function with zeal and gaiety.
The function was inaugurated by the chief guest Sham Lal Sharma, senior vice president JKPCC and former Minister.
The chief guest laid emphasis on promoting moral education in all Government and private education institutions to protect age old moral ethics and rich cultural heritage of the country.
Asking teachers to prepare today’s youth for future excellence, senior vice president JKPCC and former Minster backed for over all development of students.
Sharma while speaking on Annual day function said that Parents, teachers, siblings, elders and friends play an important role in child development and more importantly, the family and teachers have a critical role. The conventional and traditional pattern of family, consisting of husband and wife, married and living together, is the best situation for child development. Sharma also emphasized that besides academics and sports, students are showing their talents in various other categories, so to exhibit their output all the institutions organize annual functions, fete, educational trips and various other intra and inter school competitions. In short – “A home away from home” is an apt synonym used for any institution that creates an overall developed child through vigorous exercise and efforts. Sharma also praised the efforts of the school in instilling the right morals and value education among the students.
He also advised the parents to give their children the right atmosphere to grow and develop.
Later, Mr Sharma also distributed prizes amongst the students who excelled in academics and co-curricular activities.
The Principal of the school, Mona Gupta presented the annual report.
Earlier, the programme started with Ganesh Vandana, followed by cultural programme.
The Director, Mohan Lal Gupta and chairperson Rohit Gupta were also present.
