JAMMU, Dec 10:17th Senior and Junior State Taekwondo Championships concluded at Brahman Sabha Jammu in which around 200 players from Kargil, Budgam, Shopian, Baramulla, Kathua, Udhampur, Doda, Jammu and Samba districts participated.
On this occasion, Secretary Tribal Affairs Government of J&K was the chief guest, while as Prof Ashutosh Sharma, chairman Affiliation Committee, Indian Olympic Association and general secretary J&K Olympic Association and Shiv Kumar Sharma, joint secretary J&K State Sports Council were the guests of honour.
Haji Sadiq Ali Shuja, organizing secretary PDP Kargil was the special guest on the occasion.
The players who won gold medals have been selected for the forthcoming 34th Senior National Taekwondo Championships and 35th Junior National Taekwondo Championships 2015 to be held at JN Stadium, Cuttack in Odisha from December 15 to December 18, 2015.
On the occasion, the chief guest, Ali Raza lauded the efforts of the Association, especially its chief coach, Atul Pangotra.
DN Pangotra, general secretary J&K Taekwondo Association and Anuj Sharma, organzing secretary of the Championship were present on the occasion.
President J&K Taekwondo Association, PC Sharma presented vote of thanks.
