KATHUA, Oct 24: Three days Handball Championship, organized by District Handball Association Kathua concluded at Sports Stadium, HERE TODAY.
Ashwani Kumar Raina, general secretary J&K Handball Association was the chief guest on the valedictory function of the Championship, who gave away the winners and runners-up trophies as also other individual prizes, while Shamsher Singh, Manager Sports Stadium Kathua, was the guests of honour.
The championship is being organized by Pawan Sharma, president District Kathua Handball Association in collaboration with J&K State Sports Council
Prominent among others who were present on the occasion were Rajinder Kumar, joint secretary J&K Handball Association, Sandeep Verma, press secretary J&K Handball Association and Sanjeev Jamwal, Executive Member J&K Handball Association,
The final match in men’s section was played between Stadium XI Club and GDC Kathua in which Stadium XI defeated GDC Kathua in a thrilling contest by (19-18). Main scorers ifrom Stadium XI was Saleem Ahmed and Naseeb Ahmed who scores 5 goals each, while main scorer from GDC Kathua was Harshatri who netted 5 goals.
The matches were officiated by Kulbushan Singh and Rakesh Kumar.
