UDHAMPUR, Oct 20: The Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Bagga under the aegis of Rashtriya Rifles Uniform Force Headquarters, Reasi conducted a cricket tournament at Mahore cricket ground for the youth of the Pir Panjal ranges.
A total of 12 teams are participating in the tournament.
According to organizers, the motive of tournament was to attract the youth towards sports and games to promote fitness.
The tournament began with much enthusiasm and excitement from the players as well as locals who cheered emphatically for their home teams.
The matches itself witnessed fierce competition between four teams focused on clinching the title for their village. The Commanding Officer during the inaugural address to the players emphasised upon the need to play the game with commitment and vigour and imbibe a healthy sense of sportsman spirit.
