Inter school poster making competition held

JAMMU, Aug 26: Young Students’ Movement (YSM) of Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School organized an inter school poster making competition on the theme “Vision India” for the students of class VIII.
YSM aims at helping young students to analyze their experiences and deepen their awareness of themselves. The theme “Vision India” was in accordance to the vision of Late Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, who dreamt of India to be Student Empowered by 2020.
The competition started after allotting them their registration numbers and the students seemed really creative to sprinkle the colours of their imagination and thoughts on piece of paper.
Dr Simridhi Arora, Associate Prof, Human Development, University of Jammu, Dr Sarika Manhas, Senior Assistant Pro, University of Jammu and Dr Anupama Vohra, Associate Dean, Student Welfare, University of Jammu were the judges for the occasion.
Jodhamal Public School bagged first prize, whereas Presentation Convent and Banyan International bagged second and third prizes respectively.
Certificate of participation was given to all the participants.
The competition concluded with the YSM Anthem followed by vote of thanks.
