JAMMU, July 18: In an Award Ceremony held at India International Centre Lodhi Estate New Delhi, Principal Trilok Singh Bist of Jodhamal Public School Jammu was felicitated with the Meritorious Service Award for his contribution in the field of education and taking the initiative of changing the lives of the young children by involving them in the International Award for Young People.
Mr Bist, the Principal of Jodhamal Public School started his Association with IAYP almost 10 years back and have been able to connect hundreds of his students to the Award right from Dehradun to Lucknow to Jammu.
His students have already reached great heights in their career and they always got back saying that the Award Journey changed their life. In 2012 Jodhamal Public School, Jammu became the first YES Centre of IAYP, the off shoot of the Duke of Edenburg’s Awards.
Mr Bist said that “it was a great pleasure meeting Raja Randhir Singh and receiving the award from him; the only Member from India in the International Olympic Association and the only participant from India in Olympic Games for a long period of 33 years”.
Raja Randhir Singh felicitated three Principals from Pan India for their meritorious services in the field of education and the Schools included Singapore International School, Mumbai; Scindia School, Gwalior and Jodhamal Public School, Jammu.
It is indeed a proud moment for Jammu to be recognized at National Level with the legacy Schools like Scindia School, Gwalior.
Meanwhile, student Subrat Sharma of Jodhamal was awarded a Gold Award for completing his Gold Journey successfully in this Gold Award Ceremony. Subrat had been consistently a very hard working and sincere child who has always stood up for the community service and social causes.
