Monsoon Cricket League: Shastri XI registers win over JKP XI

JAMMU, July 7: Shastri Cricket XI registered win in the ongoing Monsoon Tri-Series Cricket League, being played at Science College Ground, here today.
The tournament in which 3 teams are participating is being organized jointly by Jammu and Kashmir Police Department and Simula Club, under the supervision of Ashkoor Wani DIG Jammu and Rajesh Gill Chief Prosecuting Officer & Former Ranji Player is the Organizing Secretary of the tournament.
In today’s match, Shastri Cricket XI defeated JKP Cricket XI   by 4 wickets.
Batting first, JKP Cricket  XI scored 110 runs in 29.5 overs, with  Rajesh Gill (22), Ram Dayal (19), and Sunil Sambyal (16) being the main scorers. For Shastri Cricket XI Vishal Singh was the main bowler who took 5 wickets, Vishal Rana and Avesh Sharma took 2 wickets each.
Shastri Cricket XI, in reply achieved the target in 31.3 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Bunty was the top scorer with 37 runs, Amit Sharma contributed 27 runs, while Honey added 22 runs to the total.  For JKP Cricket XI   Rajesh Gill, Pankaj and Sahil took 2 wickets each. Vishal Singh was adjudged man of the match.
The Organizing Committee members include Parshotam Sharma Deputy Director Prosecution RPHQ Jammu, Hilal Rather MD Simula, Ashish Sharma, RP Singh, Rajesh Dhar, Asif Gill, David Mattoo and Suhail.
The match was officiated by Suhail Yusuf, Sandeep Manchanda and Vinod Kandayara.
JKP won two matches out of three matches in the series, Simula won one out  of two matches  while  Shastri won one out of three matches. Tomorrow Shastri Club has to play his last league match with Simula, informed Organizing Secretary Rajesh Gill.
