JAMMU, June 28: Dashmesh Cricket Club (DCC) 1 and Thandi Khui Cricket Club (TKCC) routed their rivals and advanced into the next round of the ongoing Ist Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh Gold Cup T-20 Cricket Tournament, being played at Cantt Ground, Satwari.
The first match of the day was played between Dashmesh Cricket Club (DCC) 1 and Trikuta Cricket Club (TCC), in which former registered victory by 94 runs.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, DCC 1 scored 170 in 20 overs by losing 7 wickets. Vikaran Bali was the top scorer with 45 runs in 33 balls, whereas Sukhu scored 39 runs in 17 balls.
From TCC side, Arun scalped 2 wickets, whileas Charanjeet, Inderjeet, Ashok and Mukesh took 1 wicket each.
In reply, TCC failed to chase the target and was bundled out at 76 runs for all out. Charanjeet Singh made 28 runs and Ashok scored 22 runs.
From DCC 1 side, Manpreet Singh was the wrecker-in-chief with 4 wickets, whereas Vicky took 3 wickets.
Manpreet Singh of DCC 1 was adjudged as man of the match.
In the second match, Dashmesh Cricket Club (DCC) registered 15 runs win over Thandi Khui Cricket Club (TKCC).
Batting first, TKCC scored 78 runs for all out in 14 overs. Shana made 26 runs and Amit scored 19 runs.
From DCC side, Raman scalped 3 wickets, whereas Udesh took 2 wickets.
In the second inning, DCC got bundled out at paltry 63 runs for all out. Ricky scored 16 runs and Narinder Singh made 10 runs.
From TKCC side, Shana and Panku displayed excellent bowling skills and took 4 wickets each.
Shana of TKCC was adjudged as man of the match.
