JAMMU, May 16: 15 days Summer Camp at Air Force School Jammu was inaugurated by Air Commodore, Ashutosh Lal VM, Air Officer Commanding Air Force Station Jammu.
Sqn Ldr, Sunaina Ch Ahar, Officer Incharge Air Force School was present on the occasion.
In his inaugural address AOC stressed the need for extending learning beyond the four walls of the classroom.
He said that such workshop help to build teamwork, cooperation, leadership and individuality amongst students.
The workshop aims to bring out the creative talent in children from classes 3rd to 9th.
The children will be engaged in diverse activities like spoken English, Yoga, PT, Swimming, introduction to multimedia, Calligraphy, Dance, Music, Art, Craft and Educational visits.
Students will learn and grow under their respective mentors.
Air Force School, Jammu has been conducting this workshop for the last 12 years now.
The curriculum has been diligently designed to bring out the best in ‘body, mind and spirit’. Campers caps were distributed among the students.
Vikesh Sandhal, Principal in his welcome address hoped that the workshop will bridge the gap between school, home and community and provide a happy and engaging experience to refresh the children during vacations.
