JAMMU, Apr 14: The auction of the selected players for prestigious Police Public Cricket Premier League (PPCPL) will be held at Police Auditorium, Gulshan ground, here tomorrow.
This was informed by Rajesh Gill, former Ranji Trophy player and organizing secretary of the League through a statement issued here today.
According the statement, Danish Rana, IGP Jammu, who is the member of the Board of Directors of the League, will be the chief guest and will declare open the auction in presence of DIG, Jammu-Kathua Range.
The organizers have invited the team owners and the selected players to report at the venue at 10.30 am sharp., besides inviting cricket lovers to witness the auction of the PPCPL which is going to be held for the first time at Jammu.
“The base prize for the current and former Ranji Trophy players is Rs 5000, while the base prize for Under-19, Under-23 and University players is Rs 3000 and the base prize for local players is Rs 1000. Each team will compose of 2 current Ranji Trophy players, 3 former Ranji Trophy players, 2 current Under-19 and Under-23 players, 2 former Under-19 and Under-23 players, 2 University, College and local players,” the statement added.
