JAMMU, Apr 4: Dogra College of Education organized one-day National Seminar on the topic “Rethinking: Teacher Education” in its College premises, here today.
The inaugural session was conducted in the College Auditorium while Technical sessions were performed in the Conference Hall of the College.
The Key note address was presented by Prof. N.R. Sharma, Head Department of Educational Studies and Dean Students Welfare, Central University of Jammu, while Prof B D Damral, Director Cum Principal Dogra College of Education presented the welcome address.
Former Minister, Th. Gulchain Singh Charak was the chief guest on the occasion, who in his address expressed concern over the declining standards of Teacher Education.
Prof M L Parwana, Former Principal, Govt. PG College of Education also expressed his views during the inaugural session.
Dogra Newsletter was also released on the occasion.
Certificates and mementoes were presented to the dignitaries and all the participants.
Vote of thanks was presented by Shefali Sharma, Vice Principal, Dogra College of Education. The proceedings of the programme were presented by Priyanka, Lecturer in English, Dogra College of Education.
Concluding remarks were presented by Prof. Lokesh K Verma, former Dean & Head, Deptt. of Education, University of Jammu.
