JAMMU, Jan 16: A Divisional level mathematics q0uiz competition was held at SIE, Jammu today in which one best team from each district was invited.
Out of the 10 teams invited eight teams from districts of Jammu, Kishtwar, Poonch, Ramban, Reasi, Kathua, Samba and Udhampur participated in the Quiz programme.
The Quiz programme was inaugurated by S K Raina, Field Advisor, SIE, Jammu in presence of Brij Lal, Shadi Lal Tingloo, Sarita Anand, J K Sudan. While interacting with the participants emphasized the need of such programmes for over all improvement in quality of education, development of one’s personality and inculcation of Mathematical attitude among the students.
The teams comprising of Puneet Kumar Shegal, Nesa Kopusar and Rukhshanda Sehar of Poonch secured first position; Richa Sharma, Rohit Sharma and Rahul Sharma of H S Mela Kathua secured second positions and teams from Reasi comprising of Paramvir Singh, Farzan Choudhary and Akshay Singh of Government HSS Pouni, Reasi secured the third position in the competition.
S K Raina, senior most Field Advisor was the chief guest, while vote of thanks was presented by Brij Lal, Field Advisor, mathematics wing who acted as the chief judge during the competition.
