LOC Club, Amjed Club win matches in T-20 Cricket Tourney

JAMMU, Oct 17: In the ongoing T-20 Cricket Tournament at Sports Stadium, Poonch, LOC Club and Amjed Club won their respective matches.
The 1st match of the day was played between Zaffer Club and LOC Club in which LOC Club emerged winner. Batting first the whole team of Zaffer Club was bowled out on 102 runs in stipulated 20 overs. Asad was the top scorer with 20 runs in 23 balls while Deeraj also added 17 to the total. For LOC Club, Rashid took 4 wickets by just giving 20 runs in 4 overs.
In reply LOC Club easily chased the target in just 17 overs by losing six wickets. For Zaffer Club, Yasar took 3 wickets by giving 13 runs in its four overs’ spell.
The 2nd match was played between Amjed Club and Chandak Club which was won by the former by 22 runs.
Batting first, Amjed Club made 131 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Nawaz scored 64 runs in 54 balls while Mubarak scored 29 runs. For Chandak Club, Israr took 3 wickets by giving just 13 runs in 4 overs.
In reply the whole batting order of Chandak Club collapsed in just 110 runs. Israr was the top scorer for Chandak Club who scored 45 runs off 25 balls.
The matches were officiated by Gurwinder Singh, Sanjay Misri, Rajinder Singh Toofan, Narinder Singh, Rajinder Singh, Davinder Singh, Surinder Singh, Pawan Kumar and Manik Shah.
The tournament is being organized by Army under ‘Operation Sadbhavna’.
