JAMMU, June 1: Corporate Cricket Club lifted the J&K Masters Cup T20 Cricket Championship Edition-4 title after defeating GST Gladiators by 40 runs in a thrilling final organized by the Veterans Cricket Association J&K (VCAJK).
The presentation ceremony was graced by Rajive Sharma as chief guest, who distributed trophies, medals and individual awards. The event was attended by Deepak Dogra ‘Baba’, former Ranji Trophy player, Vivek Suri, General Secretary VCAJK, and Anil Wadhera, Manager MA Stadium Jammu.
Batting first, Corporate Cricket Club scored 133 runs in 19.5 overs. Satish Kumar contributed 22 runs, while Ujwal added 12. A crucial last-wicket partnership of 34 runs between Jatin Sethi and Lucky helped set a competitive total. For GST Gladiators, Rockey J took 5 wickets for 24 runs, while Yogeshwar Saini claimed two wickets and Anchal Singh bowled economically.
In reply, GST Gladiators were bowled out for 93 runs in 15.3 overs. Manik Gupta and Satish Kumar took two wickets each, while Jatin Sethi, Rinku and Lucky struck at key moments to dismantle the chase.
Satish Kumar was declared Man of the Match, Rockey J player of the tournament and best bowler, Samiullah best batsman and Lovish best fielder.
