JAMMU, May 22: The Inter-Zonal District Level competitions organized by the District Youth Services & Sports (DYSS) Jammu under the aegis of the Directorate of Youth Services & Sports, J&K continued with great enthusiasm at MA Stadium Jammu and Khel Gaon Nagrota.
The tournaments featured Kabaddi competitions for girls in Under-14 and Under-17 categories and Cricket competition for U-17 boys, drawing energetic participation from various zones across the district.
The second day of the Kabaddi championship witnessed thrilling quarterfinal clashes as young players displayed remarkable skill, teamwork and determination on the mats. Kabaddi (Girls) U-14: Khour beat RS Pura by 28-12. Marh zone was defeated by Gandhi Nagar zone by 24-11. Akhnoor zone outplayed Arnia zone by 23-09. Marh zone beat RS Pura zone by 30-14. Miran Sahib zone defeated Arnia by 23-10. Gandhi Nagar zone beat RS Pura by 20-07. Gandhi Nagar zone beat Khour zone by 25-20. Akhnoor zone beat Miran Sahib zone by 29-12. Khour zone defeated Marh zone by 27-24.
Kabaddi (Girls) U-17: Jammu zone beat Dansal zone by 18-14. Bhalwal zone beat Bishnah zone by 37-09. Satwari zone beat Jourian zone by 21-15. Bhalwal zone defeated Dansal zone by 23-08. Bishnah zone beat Dansal zone by 25-24. Jammu zone defeated Bhalwal zone by 20-14. Jammu zone defeated Bishnah zone by 33-12. Choki Choura zone beat Jourian zone by 29-09. The match between Satwari zone and Chouki Choura zone ended in a tie as both the teams scored equal points (27-27). Semi-final and final matches will be played tomorrow.
Cricket (Boys) U-17: In the first match, Dansal zone defeated RS Pura zone, whereas in the second match Satwari zone emerged winner by defeating Jourian zone. Semifinal matches will be played tomorrow
