JAMMU, May 7: The ongoing Inter School District Level Selection Trials/Competitions under 14 & 17 years age groups organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Jammu, continued today at MA Stadium Jammu.
The event witnessed participation of around 200 players from various zones of District Jammu, showcasing their talent in Judo and Karate competitions.
The technical committee was headed by convenor Rohit Gupta, along with members Basant Ram, Rajeev Kumar, Raman Sharma, Rohit Sadotra, Atul Pangotra, Jatinder Kumar, Sunil Abrol, Ajay Paul Gill, Kamal Singh, Nitin Sharma, Tejinder Singh, Vishal Jamwal, Dhanraj Singh and others. The Department also constituted multiple committees including organising, medical, registration & ceremony, transport, boarding & lodging, finance and equipment committees to ensure smooth conduct of the competitions under the supervision of DYSSO Jammu.
Judo U-17 Boys Results: In -40 Kg, Iman secured 1st position, while Mohit stood 2nd. In -45 Kg, Anirudh Rama won 1st position and Harish Nanda took 2nd. In -50 Kg, Ritvik Sharma secured 1st, followed by Rahul Rana at 2nd. In -55 Kg, Naksh was 1st and Avikam Singh 2nd. In -60 Kg, Daksh Chibber secured 1st and Nitin 2nd. In -66 Kg, Mohd Salman was 1st and Zaheer Aslam 2nd. In -73 Kg, Shaurya Dev Singh won 1st and Adarsh Raina 2nd. In -81 Kg, Adhavan Pargal secured 1st and Raghav Dutta 2nd. In -90 Kg, Sharan Dhar stood 1st and Shvam Tiakoo 2nd.
Karate U-17 Boys Results: In -35 Kg, Yuvraj secured 1st position. In -40 Kg, Viraj stood 1st and Ansh 2nd. In -45 Kg, Manav secured 1st and Aarav 2nd. In -50 Kg, Ankush was 1st and Laksh 2nd. In -54 Kg, Satyam won 1st and Gourav 2nd. In -62 Kg, Adhav secured 1st and Tanish 2nd. In -70 Kg, Divansh was 1st and Plariya 2nd.
