JAMMU, Apr 27: Balgran, a home for destitute children, today organised a function to celebrate the exceptional academic performance of its students in the recently declared BOSE Class 10 and 12 examinations. Students securing above 90 percent marks and distinctions were felicitated with cash awards for achieving a major milestone in academic excellence.
In the cent percent result of Bal Bharti Public School, a unit of Balgran, 11 out of 21 students in Class 10 and 3 out of 7 students in Class 12 secured above 90 percent marks. Ambika Thakur topped Class 10, while Tariq Ahmad secured the top position in Class 12.
The ceremony was attended by President VK Raina, Hon. Secretary Er Vinod Gupta, Patron Prem Gupta, Urmil Arora and Dr Sunita Kumari, Principal of the school. Cash awards were distributed to 14 meritorious students by Balgran and also personally by patrons Prem Gupta and Urmil Arora to all 28 students.
Other dignitaries present included Patrons AK Arora, Er AK Khajuria, Ponit Nanda, and management members Sadhna Kachroo, Neelam Arora and Shashi Ajarawat. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Er Vinod Gupta.
