JAMMU, Apr 17: Bal Bharti Public School of Balgran (BBPS), Channi Rama, Jammu celebrated its 26th Annual Day with great enthusiasm, showcasing cultural performances and achievements of students across academics, sports, and co-curricular fields.
The programme was attended by Er A. K. Arora, patron-in- chief as chief guest, who appreciated the efforts of Balgran in the holistic development of children. The event began with Saraswati Vandana and Ganesh Vandana presented by students.
Principal Dr Sunita Sharma presented the Annual Report, highlighting consistent academic progress and outstanding performance of students in inter-school competitions. Director (BBPS) Sadhna Kachroo introduced students who excelled in various fields and coordinated the felicitation ceremony.
Prizes for academic excellence were sponsored by Neelam Arora and Satya Paul Arora, awarded to the top three students in each class from 1st to 9th for the session 2025-26. The school also honoured Shashi Ajrawat for dedicated honorary teaching service, while Goverdhan Singh Jamwal received the Best Teacher of the Year award.
The Best Student of the Year (Female) was awarded to Ambika Thakur of Class 10 (Appeared), while Rohan Sharma of Class 10 received the Best Student of the Year award. The institution also felicitated AK Arora for his long-standing contribution to Balgran.
The programme was attended by several dignitaries including Prem Gupta, Er Ponit Nanda, AK Khajuria, JK Gupta, Mohit Vij, Dr Rakesh Khajuria, Er Ravinder Gupta, Subhash Chander Sharma, Vinod Gupta, Sunil Gupta, Er Vinod Padha, Urmil Arora, OP Sharma, Dr Surinder Gupta, Sunil Sharma, Principal GHSS Channi Himmat Jammu, along with faculty members, parents, and Balgran officials.
In his vote of thanks, Balgran President Vinod Raina expressed gratitude to donors, management, staff, teachers, parents, and students for the successful conduct of the event.
