RAJOURI, Apr 17: Sports activities including Cricket, Kabaddi and Volleyball were organised under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir initiative at Government Boys Model Higher Secondary School, Thannamandi, under the supervision of SDM Thannamandi.
The programme, conducted by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Zone Thannamandi, saw participation from teams of Manyal Lower, Manyal Upper and Azamatabad Panchayats, showcasing enthusiasm and sportsmanship.
Dr Naseem Malik attended as chief guest and appreciated the initiative, stating that sports help channel youth energy towards positive and drug-free lifestyles. Javaid Iqbal Raina also encouraged students to actively engage in healthy activities.
ZPEO Thannamandi Saleem Naushad Raina lauded the cooperation of all stakeholders and reaffirmed commitment to continue such events under the anti-drug campaign.
Around 180 spectators witnessed the event, which aimed to promote fitness, discipline, and awareness against substance abuse among youth.
