Bar’s Annual Sports Meet concludes

JAMMU, Apr 5: The Annual Sports Meet of the Jammu & Kashmir High Court Bar Association Jammu concluded at the University of Jammu today.
The final day of the tournament saw great enthusiasm among members of the bar, especially the players. The nail-biting final of the cricket tournament made the finale interesting.
The Chief Justice of the UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Justice Arun Palli, along with Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Justice Sindhu Sharma, Justice Wasim Sadiq Nargal, Justice Rajesh Shekhri, Justice Sanjay Parihar, Chairman of the Central Administrative Tribunal Jammu, Sanjeev Gupta, and the Secretary of the Sports Council, Nuzrat Gul, attended the final day of the tournament along with senior members of the bar.
Great enthusiasm was showcased during the prize and medal distribution for the events, including Athletics, Pickleball, Volleyball, Basketball, Swimming, Football, Badminton, and Cricket.
More than 1,000 members of the bar association participated as players in all the events. While addressing the gathering, the Chief Justice hailed the efforts of the Bar Association and also agreed to a cricket match between the bar and the bench.
The final of men’s cricket was played between Regal Star XI and Sachin XI, in which Regal Star XI, led by captain Sidhant Gupta, clinched the champions’ title. In women’s cricket, Lady Litigators, led by Anshuja Tak, defeated Lady Feathers to take the top spot.
The medals and prizes were distributed among the players by the Judges of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, and all the players were appreciated for their efforts.
Office bearers of the Bar Association, including President Nirmal Kotwal, Vice President Baldev Singh, General Secretary Pardeep Majotra, Joint Secretary Anshu Mahajan, and Treasurer Rahul Aggarwal, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the sports committee of the bar and to all the participants.
