Basohli clinches victory in Drug-Free India Cricket tourney

KATHUA, Feb 23: Basohli emerged victorious in the final of the drug-free India Cricket Tournament, defeating Palasi at Government Model Higher Secondary School, Basohli.
The final was inaugurated by ADC Basohli, Pankaj Bhangotra, who encouraged youth to embrace sports and stay away from drugs, highlighting the role of such tournaments in promoting a healthy lifestyle. Model Higher Secondary School Basohli Principal, Brij Bhushan Sharma, was also present.
Batting first, Palasi set a modest target of 81 runs. Basohli successfully chased it, scoring 82 for the loss of three wickets to secure a convincing win.
The match showcased energetic participation, teamwork and sportsmanship among young players. The tournament concluded with a strong message of building a drug-free and progressive society through sports.
