JAMMU, Jan 15: The Jammu District U-18 Boys and Girls Lawn Tennis Championship, organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Lawn Tennis Association (JKLTA), entered an exciting second day at Tennis Courts of MA Stadium, featuring intense semifinals and doubles action.
In the Boys’ Singles U-18 semifinals, Naman Tak defeated Aarish Sethi by 8–5, while Hardeep Singh dominated Himanshu Mehra by 8–2, setting up a thrilling final clash.
The Girls’ U-18 Singles round-robin matches saw Ridhya Gupta shine, edging Arushi Kumari by 7–6 (7–5) in a tense tie-break before comfortably beating Tavleen Kour by 8–2. Ridhya will face Kyra Nagpal in the final for the championship title.
In Boys’ U-18 Doubles, morning round-robin matches determined the finalists: Parth Gupta and Aarav Singh defeated Himanshu Mehra and Vivek Singh by 7–6 (7–5), while Aarish Sethi and Ritham overcame the same duo 8–2, promising an exciting doubles final ahead.
