Pegasus FC, Nagrota FC win in Tie-Breakers

JAMMU, Dec 23: The 19th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament 2025 commenced today at the Mini Stadium, Parade Ground, Jammu, organised by the All J&K Sports & Cultural Welfare Association.
In the opening match, Hero FC faced Pegasus FC, ending in a 1-1 draw. Basit scored for Pegasus FC via penalty, while Adil netted for Hero FC in the 70+8th minute. The match was decided by a tie-breaker, with Pegasus FC emerging victorious by 3-2. Yellow cards were issued to Musaib and Abid of Pegasus FC and Paras of Hero FC, while Rajinder of Pegasus FC received a red card in the 41st minute.
The second match saw Vijay Club go up against Nagrota FC, finishing 0-0 in regulation time. Nagrota FC won by 4-2 in the tie-breaker. Yellow cards went to Chirag Dogra and Parveen Kumar of Vijay Club and Divyanshu of Nagrota FC received a red card.
The chief guest on the occasion was Anil Masoom, along with Kuldeep Singh, Ramesh Chander, David Masih, Sodagar Mattoo, Yousaf Don, Peter Sandhu, Kamaljeet, Rajesh Sumbria, Rattanlal and Sebastian.
The matches were officiated by referees Ajay Singh, Bilal, Aman Sudan, Kartik Sharma, Dheeraj, Ricky Kumar, Satnam Singh and Rocky. Tomorrow’s fixtures include Pegasus FC vs United FC and Kathua Samba FC vs Katra FC.
