REASI, Dec 11: The Inter-District UT Level U-17 Boys Softball Tournament commenced at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Sports Complex, Katra, here today. Tarsem Singh, District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Reasi, graced the occasion as chief guest, interacting with participants and motivating them to give their best on the field.
He emphasized that inter-district sports foster discipline, teamwork, leadership and a strong sports culture among the youth. He also appreciated the efforts of officials, coaches, and field staff for ensuring smooth conduct of the tournament.
Today’s matches saw District Jammu, District Srinagar, District Anantnag and District Kupwara delivering exceptional performances, successfully qualifying for the semifinals to compete for the UT Level U-17 Softball title.
The matches were officiated by experts Opinderpal Singh, Madan Moha, Rakesh Singh, SS Sodhi, Dheeraj Singh, Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Naina, Mohit Sharma, Rohit Sharma, Vikas Singh, Asheesh Kumar, Sahil Sharma, Ankush Sharma, Rohan Sharma, Mohd Raqeeb and Mohd Arif.
Among others present were Devinder Kour, Saroj Bala, Jagdev Singh, Arun Dev Singh, Vikas Verma, Jaswant Singh, Mohd Raiz, Balbir Singh and Deep Singh.
