JAMMU, Dec 3: Tawi Trekkers J&K felicitated Wing Commander Rajesh Mukhi, a senior and accomplished member of the club, at Press Club of Jammu for scaling the 6119m high Mount Labuche in the Everest region of Nepal, where he proudly unfurled the club’s flag on October 8, 2025. He was accompanied by his daughters, Aadhya (7) and Aaradhya (14), who will join him in March 2026 for an expedition to the Everest region.
Mukhi plans to attempt Ama Dablam, one of the most technically challenging Himalayan peaks, while his daughters will trek to the Everest Base Camp. Aaradhya will further trek up to Camp 1 of Ama Dablam, marking a remarkable achievement for a young trekker.
Rajesh Mukhi earlier summitted Mount Vinson, the highest peak in Antarctica, in 2017. In 2022, he completed treks to all five Holy Kailash peaks and in June 2023, he trekked to Everest Base Camp and summitted Island Peak (6165m). These expeditions form part of his preparation for a planned Mount Everest summit attempt in 2027.
Prominent dignitaries present included Anil Goswami, Ashwani Sharma, Rahul Sharma, Sumit Khajuria, Shawetica Khajuria, Amit Khajuria, Sunil Chakharia and Ajay Thappa, who extended their best wishes to the trio.
