JAMMU, Nov 8: The 10th District Jammu Handball Championship concluded at Playfield Shastri Nagar, here today, featuring senior men and women, and junior boys and girls categories. The three-day event was organized by Player Association Handball Jammu in collaboration with the J&K Handball Association and sponsored by the J&K Sports Council.
Deepak Dubey, Joint Director Information, was the chief guest, while Achyut Dubey, Advocate and Standing Counsel, JKHA, was the guest of honour. They presented trophies, medals and individual prizes. In his address, Deepak Dubey praised local sports talent, congratulated winners and runners-up and lauded the Player Association Handball Jammu for organizing the event.
In the Senior Men final, Sandeep Pal Club defeated Jammu Club by 14-11, with Sahil Padha scoring 6 goals and Nikhil 4 goals. In the Senior Women final, Sampark Handball Club edged past Sandeep Pal Club 12-11, led by Taniya Mehra (5 goals) and Richa Rajput (4 goals). About 140 players from various schools and clubs participated.
