JAMMU, Nov 3: Parveen Singh of the 157 TA Unit won Gold and a Silver medal at the Goa Open International Karate Championship held at Peddem Indoor Stadium, Mapusa.
The championship, organized by Hanshi Hassan Ismail under the World Funakoshi Shotokan Organization, affiliated with the World Renshukan Karate-do Federation, saw participation from six countries including India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Kenya and Malaysia.
Parveen Singh expressed gratitude to Col. Hemant Khandpal, his Adjutant and Company Commander for their support. He said it was a proud moment to represent both the Indian Army and India on an international stage.
