JAMMU, Oct 4: The Jammu and Kashmir U-19 Men’s Cricket Team scripted history by completing a 4-0 whitewash against Odisha in a five-match Exposure Tour Series at KIIT Cricket Ground, Bhubaneswar, with one match washed out.
In the final match, Odisha posted 236/7 in 40 overs. Left-arm pacer Siddharth Jamwal starred with the ball for J&K, picking 4 crucial wickets for just 31 runs. In reply, J&K chased the target in just 32 overs, powered by a blistering 85 off 42 balls from Kamaksh Sharma.
Earlier, J&K won the first match by 8 wickets, second by 70 runs and third by 5 wickets. Arjun Sharma and Asif Muzaffar were standout performers, scoring brilliant centuries in one of the matches.
Brig Anil Gupta, Member Administration JKCA, congratulated the team and support staff for their clinical performance and extended best wishes for the upcoming Vinoo Mankad and Cooch Behar Trophies.
