RAJOURI, Oct 1: The Haji Salam Din Memorial Pro Kabaddi Tournament kicked off today with thrilling matches and a strong public turnout. Gulab Pura defeated Sunderbani in the opening game, followed by matches between Chakal and Sunderbani and Chasana and Chakal.
The inauguration saw the presence of dignitaries including Waqar Lone (Senior Leader NC), Mohiudin Malik, Raj Kumar Verma and Chief Organiser Iftikhar Malik. Waqar Lone expressed gratitude to MLA Budhal, Choudhary Javed Iqbal, for sponsoring the event and promoting youth engagement through sports.
Lone emphasized the importance of such initiatives in empowering local talent and steering youth toward positivity. Iftikhar Malik highlighted the tournament’s goal of promoting unity, discipline and the sports culture of Pir Panjal.
