JAMMU, Aug 22: Jodhamal Public School, Jammu, conducted its leadership programme and inducted the Student Council for the academic year 2025–26. The event was graced by chief guest Dr Rakesh Minhas, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, along with special guests Ansuya Jamwal (ADC Jammu), Arun Kumar Manhas (Director Industries & Commerce), and Anmol Rathod. Proud parents and well-wishers attended to witness the momentous occasion.
The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp and chanting of the Gayatri Mantra. A highlight of the event was the solemn piping ceremony, as the newly elected council members, led by Head Girl Guhika Sachdev and Head Boy Puneet Singh Manhas, ascended the stage with pride. Principal Dr. Deep Khare administered the oath of office, urging student leaders to uphold values and lead with integrity.
The council includes Deputy Head Girl Gunjot Kour, Deputy Head Boy Rajanya Ratta; Academic Prefect Soumya Gupta, Discipline Prefects Jessica and Sparsh Gupta, CCA Prefects Svasti Gupta and Advay Jasrotia, Sports Prefects Samayra Singh and Madhur Nagpal, Eco-Prefects Suchleen Kour and Avni Mahajan, and Vice Prefects across academics, discipline, CCA, sports, eco and all four houses.
Dr. Minhas delivered an inspiring address on leadership and later interacted with students in a Q&A session. Vice Principal Amita Arora extended a heartfelt vote of thanks and Pooja Sharma, Senior Wing CCA Coordinator, anchored the event.
