JAMMU, July 17: Army Public School BD Bari inaugurated its newly developed state-of-the-art lawn tennis facility, marked by a ceremonial ‘drawing of the curtain’. The event was graced by Major General Mukesh Bhanwala, General Officer Commanding 26 Infantry Division and Patron of the school, as the chief guest.
Also present were Brigadier Aniket Dilip Deo (Chairman APS BD Bari), Lt Col Kanwar Rohit Singh (SO APS BD Bari) and Neeta Rawal (Principal). Major General Bhanwala interacted with students and inspired them to embrace sports as an integral part of life. He opened the friendly match with an impressive ace serve, showcasing his tennis skills and passion for fitness.
A special highlight of the ceremony was the felicitation of Diksha Bhat, the school’s Special Educator, who was awarded the prestigious “Rising Star AWWA – Award of Excellence.” The GOC praised the school’s infrastructure and lauded its continuous efforts in nurturing young talent across academics and sports.
