JAMMU, June 3: Jodhamal Public School hosted the Interschool Cadet Roller Skating Championship, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from 18 schools across the region. More than 180 young skaters took part in the high-energy competition, showcasing their speed, skills and sportsmanship.
The event was graced by Rajesh Anand, renowned coach of the Indian Roller Skating team and former captain of the national team, as the chief guest. Also present were Prithpal Singh, Vice President of the J&K Roller Skating Association and Jatin Sabarwal, an international silver medalist and state awardee, whose presence and encouragement added great value to the championship.
The event was officially flagged off by Nandan Kuthiala, Trustee of Jodhamal Public School. After a day of intense competition, Jodhamal Public School emerged as the overall champion with 125 points, followed by International Delhi Public School in second place with 70 points and Presentation Convent School in third place with 54 points.
Jodhamal’s young skaters delivered stellar performances. Gold medals were won by Preesha Gupta, Aditya, Pawit Gupta, Naavish, Itea, Simarjot Singh, Abhynash Jamwal, Tasyaun Singh, Pavitt, Abhite Puri, Aaditya Gupta and Naisha. Silver medals were awarded to Zaiyat, Nalinkash, Abhite Puri, Hriday, Kavisha, Ayanish Singh, and Sahraj. Bronze medalists included Kaarvish Gupta, Asadyaan, Azaan, Mishika, Mysha Kaur, Yuvaan Talwar, Aryan, Raionya Piroch and Hridoy.
The event was meticulously coordinated by Kamal Anand, Secretary of the Skating Federation. Neetu Johri, Headmistress, encouraged the participants throughout the event, while Deepali Puri, CCA Coordinator (Junior Wing), ensured smooth execution and overall management.
