JAMMU, May 31: In a significant step towards promoting youth empowerment and regional development, LEAD (Ladakh Jammu & Kashmir Economic Growth and Development Dialogue) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Jammu & Kashmir State Sports Council (JKSC) at the LEAD Office, Jammu.
The MoU was signed by Nuzhat Gul, Secretary, JKSC and Rajesh Gupta, Board Member, LEAD, in the presence of Harinder Gupta, State Convenor, LEAD. The agreement aims to harness the power of sports for economic growth, community development and inclusive progress across Jammu and Kashmir.
Harinder Gupta highlighted the global economic impact of the sports sector, emphasizing its role in job creation, infrastructure, tourism, and wellness. Nuzhat Gul expressed the Council’s commitment to developing a holistic sports ecosystem. Rajesh Gupta called for strong public-civic collaboration to achieve lasting impact. The event concluded with closing remarks by R.K. Chibber, Coordinator – Cooperative Sector.
Other key dignitaries present included Sanjeev Sharma (Board Member), Shivang Satya Gupta (Coordinator – Tourism), Suneel Mahajan (Coordinator – Handloom & Handicrafts) and Vishal Abrol (Coordinator – Real Estate & Housing).
