SBI holds scholar quiz competition

JAMMU, May 7: As part of the Platinum Jubilee Celebration, State Bank of India, Chandigarh Circle in association with Times of India conducted SBI Scholar Quiz at Punjab Kala Bhawan, Sector 16, Chandigarh. 95 teams from 52 schools participated in the quiz. Manoranjan Panda, General Manager Network-1, Kajal Kumar Bhowmik, Deputy General Manager & Circle Development Officer with other dignitaries from Times of India attended the event.
After a competitive preliminary round, 6 top performing teams advanced to the final round. The team of DPS Sector 40C, Chandigarh (Mehar and Karan) was declared the winner. The 1st runner up was team of St. John’s High School (Ansh and Digvijay), the second runner up was team from Athenia High School (Arogya and Mugdh). The winning teams were felicitated by Manoranjan Panda and Kajal Kumar Bhowmik from SBI with cheques of Rs 50,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively along with trophies and certificates.
